The EFC was inaugurated on the 5th of June, 2013 by Shri H S Diengdoh, Additional Deputy Commissioner in the presence of the Nodal Officer, BDO, Project Manager- MRDS, EACs, Officers from the Line Departments, MBDA interns, Rangbah Shnong of various villages and the general public. It was the third EFC that was inaugurated in West Khasi Hills District.
Speaking as the Chief Guest Shri H. S. Diengdoh, Additional Deputy Commissioner stated that the EFC is the first level of contact between the village community and the IBDLP programme. He also stated that the IBDLP was a window of opportunity for the village community to grow an economic entity that would be self sustaining.
