Kong Belinda Nongpoh a resident of Mawbri Village had an unused poultry shed and paddy straw in her field. A school teacher by profession, she wanted to start mushroom cultivation. So she came to the EFC to register for training. Immediately after the training, she started the activity and is selling the harvest to vegetables vendors. The spawn that is produced is of very good quality and she is supplies them to local mushroom farmers and those from Jirang. Her monthly income from mushroom and spawn production adds up to about Rs. 4500.
