Kong Biolin Lapang a resident of Umsning-A is a registered partner of Umsning EFC and had applied for the Women Economic Empowerment through Financial Inclusion (WEEFI) Scheme through Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank, Umsning. The funds have been used to turn her betel nut shop into a small grocery shop. Her sale is about Rs 1500 per day. Her business is doing well and she has since been able to repay the loan.
