Kong Wandarisha Shylla a resident of Umsning-A is a registered partner of Umsning EFC and had applied for the Women Economic Empowerment through Financial Inclusion (WEEFI) Scheme through Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank, Umsning. The funds have been used to turn her betel nut shop into a small grocery shop. She has expressed happiness with the WEEFI Scheme and presently, her sale is about Rs 1000 per day. Her business is doing well now and she has also opened a small jewellery stall which opens on market days in the Umsning and the Umroi markets.
