Lastnokhel Jalong is an entrepreneur from Khweng village. His grandparents initiated the traditional weaving activity in his family. He utilized the skills he had received from his parents to start a business, seek information and support from the Handloom Department, and to open his own weaving centre in Khweng. When he came to know about the EFC he registered with the expectation that he can receive assistance that can further enhance his skills. After he became a partner in the EFC, he was sent for various trainings on weaving, textile designing and product diversification at NIFT. He also participated in an exposure visit on Micro Enterprise Promotion at Ranchi, Jharkhand. The training programmes were quite beneficial as it has greatly improved his business. Now, his products are being used by designers in national and international fashion shows.
